Cleburne, TX Antiques

We took a quick trip to Cleburne, TX to run an errand and found a wealth of antique shops!

It was only a 30min drive south of Fort Worth. On entering the downtown square we passed a small car show and an outdoor flea market. The town is full of history and shopping that could entertain you all day.

Vintage Love Antiques was a cute mom and pop boutique. The shop was full of home decor, furniture, feminine lace & one of the kind paintings. I love digging up oddities like the deer hoofs pictured below. The prices were very reasonable as well! The owner was so helpful and gave us insight on other shops in the area.

On our way to the Red Horse Antique Mall we stumbled on a true hole in the wall. It seemed like they only opened the store front to do an estate sale. They had boxes and boxes of fabric! When I inquired they said the home economics teacher in town had passed away at 100 years old and left behind a lifetime of supplies.

I found a vintage Taxco 925 silver/onyx bracelet & ring set in the mix. It was signed with TC-170, after researching it was from the Taxico artist Tono Cecilia. I returned and cherry picked a box of fabric. I look forward to sewing and carrying on the teachers legacy. Hurry and visit them while they are still open!

Where should I shop next? Tell me about your hometown shopping!

We also took our son to his first historical marker right in the Cleburne downtown area. It was such a peaceful spot and full of history! The old barn wood building made for the perfect photo backdrop! I will definitely return for a fashion shoot.
