Sickly Sweet Halloween

Hello October! The weather is changing and a spooky vibe is creeping in. This year I’m ditching my scary decor and going for a lighter, sweeter, tastier decor

I hope you have a sweet tooth!

Sickly Sweet is my theme. This year my house will be laced with sweet but deadly treats. Skeletons, day of the dead, pink floral and candy will all make an appearance for this decadent event. I’ll be posting DIY projects, decorating ideas and more!

Here is your first taste!

Reinvent your current decor with paint and embellishments.

Add junk jewelry. I love my cement skull! It can be used in so many ways. This year I gave her a quick makeover. I collect junk jewelry for projects just like this. Apply a generous amount of hot glue to each piece. Don’t worry with hot glue you can remove it later if needed! Now you have a gorgeous piece you can add flowers, candy or filler inside.

Paint pumpkins pastel for a fresh twist on Halloween. Take your old pumpkins and add a fresh coat of paint! I used acrylic paint but you can use whatever you have on hand. Careful not to use spray paint on styrofoam as it will melt!

Keep creeping all month!
