I had the beautiful opportunity to join a group of incredible women for our monthly gathering — a space full of intention, laughter, and connection. This month’s theme was all about play and reconnecting with our inner child — an invitation to let go of expectations and simply enjoy being.
Inspired by that spirit, I brought along a craft close to my heart:

DIY magic fairy wands. 🌸🧚♀️
Crafting these whimsical wands was more than just adding flowers and wrapping sticks — it was a return to the joy of creating without pressure, of using our hands, and letting beauty unfold naturally.

The Supplies:
☑️ Sticks (gathered from your yard or a nature walk)
☑️ Floral fabric strips (torn or cut for a whimsical, flowy look)
☑️ Twine or yarn (to wrap and secure elements)
☑️ Faux flowers (for the wand topper or accents)
☑️ Craft wire (for wrapping crystals or securing flowers)
☑️ Butterfly accents (optional, for a sweet enchanted touch)
🧚♀️ Optional Add-Ons – Let Your Imagination Lead:

Why Fairy Wands?
Fairy wands remind us of childhood daydreams — of believing in magic, making wishes, and feeling powerful in our imaginations. As women, we often carry so much — responsibilities, expectations, and the pressure to keep everything together. Tapping into our child energy, even for a moment, gives us space to breathe, giggle, and feel free.
As we wrapped fabric around twigs and tied flowers with ribbon, conversations flowed, and laughter danced through the air. Some wands felt regal and bold, others delicate and soft — each one was a reflection of the maker’s mood and spirit. It reminded me that creating doesn’t need to be perfect — it just needs to be yours.

Want to Make Your Own?
Here’s how you can create your own magic wand:
Gather sticks from your yard or favorite trail. Tie or glue on fabric strips, ribbon, or lace — whatever you love! Add a faux flower, crystal, or charm to the top for that extra sparkle. Wrap the base in copper wire or yarn if you’d like a more detailed finish. Set an intention as you make it — whether it’s joy, peace, or a little mischief.

Let it live on your altar, in your garden, or gift it to a friend who needs some magic.
This gathering was such a sweet reminder that we all still have that playful little girl inside — the one who used to wave a stick and declare herself queen of the forest.
She’s still here. And she deserves to play.
